Fill the bottom cup with only enough water to cover the lip of the butter cup when inserted upside down. (see image) Time to enjoy your soft spreadable butter.
NOTE:
A. Please be sure to use a clean knife when getting more butter. Any crumbs left in the butter keeper will mold. The butter does not mold but the crumbs will.
B. Be sure to wash your butter keeper in the dishwasher between sticks of butter to sanitize it.
